COOKIES & STORAGE

Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 18, 2026

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on your next visit. Browsers also offer two related stores, local storage and session storage, which keep small values on your device without sending them anywhere. 3DG uses three of these entries in total, and every one of them is strictly necessary for the site to work.

What we do not use

There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party cookies on this site. We run no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting scripts, and no embedded social media widgets, so nothing here follows you to another site. The only links to Instagram are ordinary links you have to click.

What we do use

NameTypePurposeDurationSet by
3dg_sessionHTTP cookie, strictly necessaryKeeps you signed in and protects your session. It holds a random token and is marked HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax.Up to 30 days for customers, 24 hours for staff accounts, and 10 minutes during the two-factor step. Deleted when you sign out.3DG
3dg-cookie-noticelocalStorage, strictly necessaryRemembers that you dismissed the cookie notice.Until you clear site data.3DG
3dg-pending-ordersessionStorage, strictly necessaryTemporarily keeps an order you started before signing in, so it is not lost during the sign-in redirect.Deleted when the order is saved or when you close the tab.3DG

The two storage keys never leave your device. Only the session cookie is sent to our server, and it carries nothing but a random token.

How to control them

Every browser lets you see, block, and delete cookies and site data, usually under privacy or site settings, and you can clear the data for this site alone without touching any other. Because all three entries are strictly necessary, blocking them has consequences worth knowing:

  • Without the session cookie you cannot stay signed in, so you cannot reach your account, place an order from it, or use the admin area.
  • Clearing site data makes the cookie notice reappear on your next visit, because the flag that remembered your dismissal is gone.
  • Clearing site data mid-order can also drop an order you had started but not yet saved. Browsing the store and reading these pages keeps working normally.

Why we do not ask for consent

Under the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service the visitor asked for does not require consent, and everything listed above falls in that category. We still show a short notice on your first visit, because you deserve to know what is stored even when no permission is needed.

If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, for example analytics, we will ask you first and it will stay off until you say yes.

Changes to this policy

If the list above changes we update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes are also reflected in the version of the legal pages you accept when you register.
